Dr. Duman is a Professor of Psychiatry and Pharmacology and the Director of the Abraham Ribicoff Research Facilities. His work has focused on antidepressants and stress at the molecular and cellular levels, providing the groundwork for a hypothesis of depression based on the maintenance and survival of neurons, or neurotrophy. Richard A. Friedman, M.D.

Dr. Friedman is Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College and Director of the Psychopharmacology Clinic in the Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Friedman has interest and expertise in the psychopharmacology and neurobiology of mood disorders and, in particular, treatment-resistant depression.
