Roz Chast has been a cartoonist for the New Yorker since 1978. Her work has also appeared in many other publications, including Scientific American, Redbook, and the Harvard Business Review. Her latest collection is Theories of Everything: Selected, Collected, and Health-Inspected Cartoons, 1978-2006. In 2007 she illustrated The Alphabet from A to Y With Bonus Letter Z!, the best-selling children’s book written by Steve Martin.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York, to the two most anxious people on the planet, and to this day, anxiety is her default mode.
