Rebekah Sanderlin is an Army wife, mother of two preschoolers and a freelance writer. Her popular blog “Operation Marriage” has appeared on The Fayetteville Observer’s website (http://blogs.fayobserver.com/operationmarriage) for the last five years. She also writes two columns for The Fayetteville Observer and is a frequent contributor to Military.com, CinCHouse.com, CityView magazine and National Public Radio’s All Things Considered program. She worked full-time as a journalist prior to the birth of her son in 2004 and her work received numerous awards in investigative reporting and feature writing. She is actively involved as a volunteer with Blue Star Families (www.bluestarfam.org) and the United Warrior Survivor Foundation (www.uwsf.org) and is passionate about finding ways to make military family life sustainable. She is also currently writing a book about her life as a military wife and mother during wartime and multiple combat deployments. Rebekah lives with her husband, two children and an extremely out of control yellow labrador named Hank in Fayetteville, NC.
