Debra Warner is a licensed marriage and family therapist. She graduated from California Lutheran University, and earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology with an Emphasis in Child and Family Development and a Minor in Gender Studies, followed by a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. While training in the Community Parent and Child Counseling Center at California Lutheran University, she gained experience in domestic violence while working with clients under the Verizon Domestic Violence grant. She was also certified by Valley Trauma Center as a Sexual Assault Counselor and In-Home Family Therapist for the Department of Children and Family Services.
Warner has presented to general audiences speaking on the topics of anxiety and depression, and designed and implemented support groups for treatment of anxiety. As a Level I trained Gottman Marriage Therapist, and Prepare Enrich Facilitator, she gained experience working in the areas of pre-marital therapy, couples therapy, and divorce recovery. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help my clients effectively address their personal life challenges, while integrating complimentary techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to meet the needs of each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with clients to help build on strengths and attain the personal growth that each couple or individual are committed to accomplishing.
